  29. on comp.os.minix should be able to help you out more (my book was
  30. an old one which only had offers for the PC version of Minix - I
  31. got my copy of Minix-ST from a guy who ordered it but decided he
  32. didn't want it).  I'm cross-posting this message there.

  46. Anyone out there played Chaos Strikes Back a lot?  I have explored all
  47. four branches but am trying to tie everything together.

  49. Also has anyone out there tried to make a map of CSB?  (god, it would
  50. be a nightmare but Im curious what it would look like)

  52. Finally, my characters fell down the multiple pits in the Priest
  53. section which dumps you in the lower level with a zillion worms.  The
  54. one where you have worms behind and in front of you and the only
  55. escape is to kill one and back up...  Well, I got outta there and have
  56. been doing well in the game since.  Only problem is that one of my
  57. characters died in that one square in between the halves of that big
  58. room and I cannot get back down there to get my characters bones and
  59. goodies.  I would be grateful for some help.

  96. It could be that some hard drives, when queried, will lock the bus if they
  97. aren't ready yet.  I had bus-locking problems (conflict between a Conner CP340
  98. and just about the rest of my hard drive system...), and the no-floppy-icons
  99. symptom sounds reeeeal familiar.

  194. To be honest I had a hard time understanding your post.  Perhaps you
  195. could repost, rewording things so it is a bit clearer.

  197. One thing that I did understand is that you are having a problem
  198. printing floating point from MWC.  Since printing floating point
  199. can take a fair bit of code and since most programs don't bother
  200. with floating point, the printf function in MWC does not normally
  201. support floating point.  If you want to print floating point variables
  202. you use printf as you would normally but you have to specify an
  203. extra flag in the 'cc' statement to tell MWC to include the floating
  204. point stuff.

  206. This should all be explained in the MWC manual (probably under 'printf'
  207. or under 'cc') and I suggest you look there since I have not used
  208. floating point with MWC for quite some time (ie. I may not be
  209. entirely correct).
